Bernadette & Sam's eSession

Sunday was actually supposed to be an overcast day with chance of showers. However someone must have been doing something right, 'cause I met with Bernadette & Sam, and their eSession went right on like clockwork on Sunday. We met in the beautiful Sydney Botanical Garden's, and had a great morning!
Had a pile of fun and I'm really looking forward to the wedding in early September! Keep an eye out here for the pics!

Tara & Luke's eSession

Tara and Luke met up with us on Saturday, and we shot a great engagement session at Lane Cove National Park. It was a beautiful day, with Tara looking great! She has "her order in with the big Fella" for one just like it in few weeks time. We've got our order in too...

Ana & Paulo's Wedding

On Sunday 22nd July, 2007 - we were honored to record Ana & Paulo's wedding! It was a lovely day, and all the details were exquisite. Ana looked hot, and her attendants were all gorgeous! The bridal party was a force to be reckoned with, with six attendants each Ana and Paulo were well represented!

The ceremony was held at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Watsons Bay with the reception being held at the Star Room atop IMAX in Darling Harbour in Sydney. We had a great day and want to thank Ana and Paulo for the opportunity to photograph their special day!!

Take a look at the slideshow below - or you would be best served having a look at a bigger version here.

Wedding FAQ's

We get a lot of questions from clients about our wedding photography services, and I've collated some below.

How soon before your wedding should I enquire to hire Nathan Rodger?
I recommend you make an enquiry with us as soon as you've chosen your wedding date, and booked out your ceremony and reception venues. Some couples book anywhere from 9-24 months from their wedding date. Bear in mind that the spring and summer seasons are very popular for weddings and book out much earlier than the colder months of the year.

How many photographers will be there?
Depending on your selected package, there will be at least one photographer, with an assistant. The duties of the assistant are dependant on the day, and directed by the photographer yet may include: assisting the photographer in arranging shots, taking photos as second camera.

How many pictures do you take on the wedding day? How many photos do I get?
We normally take between 1000-2000 pictures during the course of a wedding day, as each wedding is different, this is variable. We download all photos taken and review them making a selection, discarding any images are unsuitable for supply to the client (eg. blinks, sneezes, duplicate images of poses, photos out of focus etc). This is normally edited down to about 300 - 500 images.
The next step we take is to meticulously post-process each and every image, to make it its best. Amongst other things, this may include selecting certain images as black & white, sepia etc.

We output these as high resolution jpg format, so you can print these as big as you like, then deliver all processed images to you on DVD, thumb drive or download as per your package or preference.

What if I lose my DVD of images?
We stress to all clients that after delivery of images, and archiving of images is the responsibility. However we maintain backups of images, for at least 12 months - so simply contact us, and for a small fee we can online the archive, and work with you to provide a new copy of images. Whilst we say 12 months, we actually haven't yet had to delete any clients images in the years we've been in business.

As every wedding is different, every one has different questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any other questions.

Zachary Angus Rodger's Christening

My super cute nephew was recently Christened, and I was lucky enough to have been asked to record the event. He was both Christened and Baptised in the Greek Orthodox tradition, which interestingly enough has remained largely unchanged for over 1500 years.
It was a great day - by the end of which Zach was completely exhausted. There are some super cute shots of him, so take a look either below or you may want to view it bigger here.
